  • Like how the weather woman starts off with her arms folded, as if saying to the viewer "Oh, it's YOU again".

  • Anne - we love you!! That sweet monotone, with delicate inflections of ennui - classic presenting from the year that saw the axing of It's a Knock Out. And thus a return to more sober, downbeat deliveries.

    Or something.

  • @JoeScaramanga She's giving the forecast for my 14th! Had to favourite this!

  • Who is she?

  • 28 Years ago Today.

  • seems the weather woman is only doing the forecast out of protest with her arms folded. I'm like that on the train going to work in the mornings

  • My crush who is now a 28 year old woman was only a baby back then.

  • Is she Susan Powell's mum?

  • Fantastic. I had completely forgotten about Anne Purvis.

Of course, the BBC can't advertise Radio Times any more!

  • oh the weather was so unbeliavably brilliant! so much without computers!

  • LOL - a very subdued Bruce Hammal on this, long before his TransWorld Sport days.

TV from the 80s - when content mattered more than style. Bring it back!
