  • Question. I have 53/39 up front and 12/27 in the back. Would going to a 12/23 in the back drastically reduce grind time on steeps?

  • @CMac1980z you'd be pushing a much bigger gear with a 23 on the back, so you're actually 'grinding' more. if you want to up your cadence and 'spin' more, us a compact set-up like a 50/34 with 12/25 or even 27 on the back. Mike (in the video) rides this set-up.

  • This is a really useful video!!

  • nothing big hills here = 12/21

  • is he using a supersix?

  • this is the most beautiful climb. Such a lush forest! Not dry and arid like geysers or skaggs (sonoma county). great video. well made.

  • @Westham4everUKshine Wikipedia: "In August 2010 he is linked to Team Saxo Bank for the 2011 season in which he will ride for Riis and Contador".

  • @cyclefilm Don't a lot of pros use 53/39 and 12/28? Going from a 12/25 to a 12/28 is just cheaper for me. Thanks a ton! GREAT VIDS

  • @Westham4everUKshine

Ok, we got it, another FAIL!

  • @CMac1980z Wait.... I have that backwards
