pit bulls r all in how u raise them... i have a four year old pit an he is the most gentel dog ive ever owned he wont even so much as chase a cat, bt we have always paid a great deal of attention to him an showed him all the love we can we treat him as if he was my child an i wouldnt change that for anything
Its unfortunate to hear a family lost a child but it was not any of the dogs faults. The owners should have been watching the 2 year old child. Its no way if they were that the kid would be able to go out there unattended.
What you are saying would apply to all breeds of medium and large dogs, not just the pitbull. Ive seen more aggressive golden retrievers then i have aggressive pitbulls. i mean if you look at the real statistics and news stories you see that the dogs that attack come from broken homes and the remainder of attacks which are very few consist of a simple bad dog and the pitbull is not on top of the list. if you cant be a responsible owner of a pitbull don't get one and you have no right to have one
@djcreep1001 Not every single Pit Bull that has attacked someone came from a bad family. These dogs were bred for their aggressiveness and they are dangerous. I don't know how many times I've heard people say that their dog loved their children and they never thought it would bite anyone. If someone owns one of these dogs and it mauls or kills someone, they should face jail time. Why in the world would any parent take a chance with a dog that could possibly kill their children. I have no clue.
@zookeeper220 I agree with you on that. I am pro spay and neuter. A dog is only as bad as its owner and that goes for every single breed of dog. We need to focus on where these people are getting these pitbulls and what they are doing with them. not just pointing the finger at the breed itself. Just think there are millions of people who own and treat the pitbull right and have never had a problem with them, they are part of their family's. You wouldnt want to kill or ban their children right?
@djcreep1001 You are very lucky that you never had a problem. Many of these dogs are being inbred and they become more and more aggressive with each generation. Pretty soon the family pet becomes a monster and their owners lose everything to lawsuits.
@zookeeper220 Neglected family pets. I think if you took the time to go meet a few pitbulls you would change your mind about them being bad animals. i mean your welcome to come visit mine shes only six months old shed probably lick you to death tho. my last one died of cancer 8 months ago she was 15 had her since i was a kid. like i said never had a problem with them and probably never will.
she only complained abt the dog barking bcuz the dog was a pitbull
