Some people might think the new ParkZone® P-51 BL is just a new trim scheme on an old model. Its not. ParkZone has learned a lot with the introduction first of the T-28D Trojan and then the F4-U Corsair. Durable and lightweight Z-Foam™ construction results in rugged models and the P-51 is now built with this great material. The 480 outrunner brushless motor from those other models is now the powerplant for this slightly smaller and lighter brother. The result of course is more performance. The P-51 BL also has the same top access hatch for the battery and radio as on the T-28. Flight performance is going to surprise you. The P-51 BL is available in two versions, one as an RTF and one as a BNF. Eric Johnson brought the new airplane over so we could preview this very interesting development. This airplane is going to end up in the hands of a lot of park flyer pilots, but I expect it will show up at club flying fields everywhere as well. The basic features are listed below.
Look at our video preview with Eric as he shows us the features this new airplane brings to the flying field.

  • could I use a e-flite mlp4dsm transmitter?

  • @codzomz No, I fly 2200 3s 30c and 2650 3s 30c and I get about 8 min solid flight.

  • @codzomz

Thats the real downside of this hobby. any rc airplane/heli you fly will typically only give you about 8 minutes of fly time. If you hate waiting around for charge times, get ready to stock up on batteries and chargers. And dont do what i did when i first got started by not reading the manual on storing batteries. Read up on how to store these batteries or you will have a ton of dead non rechargeable batteries lying around

  • Landing gear is a drag!

  • Wow this new mustang blows away the original having a blast with it!

  • I had the Trojan to that was nice also

  • @TheChickeneer then DONT get the mustang it goes waaaaay too fast, i currently have the super cub too, i would personally recommend the parkzone t28 trojan, which is what i am upgrading to

  • I had the ferocious Frankie years ago I am going to pick this one up just for sheer coolness factor and fly it in-between flying my carbon z
