good top 10 but i think the abrams is number 2

@tomhartill How's that confusing at all? Seems you've gone and brought some supporting evidence for my argument though.

@DACFalloutRanger - The loader in an M1A2 can actually load slightly faster than the guy sitting in a CR2. Also a good tank loader can load a 120mm round I think 3 seconds flat. This I know because I have a friend who used to do this in the German army. So by using your logic a tank should have a max ROF of 20 per minute. I will leave you with that to confuse you lol.
-
@rohitb3 - I assure you, a T-72 is completely obsalete now. Those upgraded T-72's you speak of cannot really be called T-72's. It's like calling an M1A2 an M1.
You can find graphs showing the effectivness of armours, and the effectiveness of APFSDS rounds if you search well.
But I assure you, no armour in existence can withstand a direct hit from a modern APFSDS round. The latest rounds developed by the US and Germany are completely overkill.

@muratira1 and now Japan have new tank too, its Type10
-
@Gunyoken the type 90 is almost the same with the leopard 2, but now the leopard 2 a 6 more modern version is in use.
-
@TomHartill Yes added complexity...Have you seen one break? It's pretty ugly..it is NOT easier to service, do you realize how simple a torsion bar is?
Dorchester≈A2 SEP package.
L30 vs M256? For guns of their quality and size, ammunition and crew skill is about all that determines lethality.
-
@tomhartill my patriotic bias? No, i was disputing your claim that the c2 has a higher rof...Seeing as both have a human loader, i really don't see how one can be faster when BOTH have an equally adept crew...Further, i agree the T72 is shit, same with the t90.

cont...
Offcourse it has NPC protection, that's obvious. and ntn's mentioned about Shoulder mounted missiles, but i think a T-72,HESH,FSAPDS,etc hit is good enough?

Gettin so deep will just confuse more....
"Can you send me a link showing a graph of the protection offered from modern KE rounds."
where can i get such a graph?
T-72 is not "completely obsolete".It was introduced in 1973 and furthur upgraded and is a 2.5th gen tank. Infact India has about 2500 UPGRADED T-72s and there are no plans to retire them anytime soon.
Nothin is mentioned about any "degree" for the APFSDS rounds, it jsut say it can withsatand em

It is just 'Germany'. We had that reunification 20 years ago.

@TomHartill Hydropneumatic, not much to say about that. Seems the Leo, Merk and Abrams don't need it. It's not a necessity...this sounds a lot like the old autoloader argument. More combat effective? Funny thing to say, seeing as the Abrams is by far the most field tested tank extant.
