MGE (Morrowind Graphics Extender) - allows for longer view distance and provides scripts to make other mods possible (water shaders, HDR, etc)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/morrgraphext/files/

Water shaders by harlanrm and phal:

Clothiers of Vvardenfell (adds new clothing + shops to the game, including the Wailing Wench tavern in the video)

Better Bodies (a mandatory mod for MW)

Texture replacers by Darknut and Connary (I use Darknut's for armor, clothing, weapons, creatures, along with a few from Connary for landscape and other miscellaneous retextures. These make the world of MW less blurry while keeping the original design / look and feel in mind).

New NPC Replacer - One of many, many head replacers. I like to use it as a base then use separate mods to replace certain heads I don't like from this one.

Vality7's grass mods and LizTail's animated grass meshes - used together with MGE to create the grass shown in the video

Those were most of the noticeable mods you could see in the video..... I use many, many more but I can't list them all here. Go ask on the Bethesda Forums or look around on planetelderscrolls.com and tesnexus if you want more mods.

I'm going to disagree about Skyrim. I loved Morrowind to death.Oblivion left me cold. I bought it with enormous hopes, but found it bland and totally unworthy as a sequel. I've never come close to completing it.

Skyrim is different. It's not Morrowind. It lacks the strangeness that was a huge part of what made Morrowind fascinating. It has different strengths, and unlike Oblivion, it's entirely worthy as a successor.

  • I'm one of those who was introduced to the elder scrolls through Oblivion. But I wanted to play morrowind as well so I got the game.

Cooler voices (dark elf), better inventory/item system (though not without some flaws of course), can anyone say clothing under armor?

Just don't like the auto block, and the combat is stiff.

Morrowind is hardcore though. With the graphic extender I might play it more than Oblivion (until Skyrim comes of course!

  • @Frosthope Thank you, I love skyrim, as my first elder scrolls game, but basically bought oblivion for 6 dollars and only play it for mods. I am buying morrowind soon.

  • @WildBuck007 shut up dude it's the same series why the fuck does there always have to be someone who wants to compare them, be glad that they didn't stop after morrowind -.-

  • @orangeluva56 there are mods that allow that :P

  • it sais i need a fully patched version of bloodmoon...

  • was that woman upstairs naked??

  • @WildBuck007 Firstly: That's your opinion.

Secondly: I thoroughly enjoyed Skyrim and Oblivion like countless others.

Thridly: Slavery? Skyrim's a game. Get over yourself.

  • @Conza679

Yes. But you obviously do not.

Just because it is popular doesn't make it a good thing. Slavery was popular too and look what happened with that.

When people play Morrowind. The experience far outweighs its flaws. Skyrim...they just took a few loose ends from their other titles and slapped it all together with crazy glue.

So big deal the graphics look decent. But the whole package is in the gutter like Oblivion.

The whole thing feels like being lost on a blank canvas.
