@eldad75 I like following the Dog Whisperer and when it comes to a cornered dog like this one, he takes longer time to avoid bites. Unless you have another system, I don't know. Are you dog behaviorist?

Poor thing.. her previous owners must have been absolutely horrible to her. :( I love pitbulls.. Did she have a happy ending and come around?

i think dogs can feel if a person is bad or good....

I've watched quite a few of your videos and thoroughly enjoy each and every one. I find myself studying how the dogs re-act to your approach considering their past human experience. I dare say I've learned quite alot about dog body language and always find myself wanting to hug my Lab after watching your videos. Thanks

Was she being transported somewhere else? Because she was obviously not aggressive and really exceptionally terrified and being so forward with her seemed to just reinforce that fear of her being trapped and could increase the chance that she may try to protect herself. As a Pit Bull owner & lover this was awful to watch. Dogs aren't born like this. Bad people make them this way. People can be deplorable. Shylo, I hope you have found a GOOD human family!

Maybe random, but sometimes I fear for you, El... God knows we love what your camera shows us, but the thought of you against a big dog and one hand occupied with holding the camera is a bit concerning... why don't you have one of the friends that sometimes come along help you with it? isn't it harder/more dangerous with the camera?

@Panur Thank you for actually caring :-)
The truth is, that you're right... it is a dangerous situation, and one day I can get seriously hurt. The problem with having another person there, is that if the dog sees another person and now she is worried about BOTH of us, then it throws off the energy, and then I am more likely to be attacked (or eliminated), so she will have only one more person "against" her. Dusty (in one of my other videos) actually knocked the camera out of my hand! :-)

Just curious, when you approached shylo, you seemed to be approaching her mouth (and hence teeth) first; did that ease her fear and therefore reduce the risk of being bitten, because she could see where your hand was going and she knew that she could easily attack your hand whenever necessary?

@catagult hmm... I never thought about it this way (approaching her teeth) :-)
I am really approaching her nose, and allowing her to smell me. I know I can take a bite (or worse) at any minute, but I am trying not to think about it. Some people think I am approaching too fast, but I learned that having full contact as fast as possible shows the dog that I am not afraid, and trust can be built quickly from there.
