Melton Mowbray War Memorial Hospital

Has been closed for about 4 years and boarded up but some local yob has kicked a door in during the last week or 2, so this i believe is the first recorded visit and the first persons to venture in for a few years,still has phones,keys and supplies and curtains, my advice,urbex there soon before vandalism and graffitti,Very dark and spooky,creepy noises but that could be pigeons and smoke alarms needing new batteries, or ghosts. Take a torch .

actually....me and my bro were first in about three years ago, it had just enough damage to a board to get in...which we tried to repair when we left.....shortly after they boarded back up so was not able to gain access again for some good pics....i believe i do have a few somewhere.....the place was pretty immaculate....glad to hear its still in good nick!! i think it up for sale now...which is good perhaps the vandals wont get to destroy it....its a beautifull building!

@saulphizacklea hi, yeah it was nice when i was there and for you also,but im not sure now. it has been sealed better from what i here about a year ago. so no more vandalism i hope. its a great building like you said and i hope they do something positive with it soon!

how did you get over the gate as it has a big fence around it all and sharp tops

@thelighterlover this was filmed in april i think, since then the fencing and anti climb paint and metal shutters have been put up, guess i was lucky to get in when i did.

this is a historic building  owned by the late captain dagliesh who helped us win the war with his Conrade's and his gallant bravery . and should not be pulled down the council have not found a living related person so can not touch it but they will let it rot till the building becomes unsafe. this building needs saving!.

@B0B78422 i agree it is a very nice building,it was in april when i went there, the staircase in the main hall is very grand, and i hope they dont demolish it

I have been to this hospital as i live in melton mowbray but i was too scared to actually go inside. Apparently all the objects are still left in there? is this true? thanks :)
