Wow that finish was insane. Good reaction skills too, going into the final corner.

@carbontrek5500 935 did not keep his orig line. while it was not so agregious to protest, thats why Taleo had to hit his brakes. Taleo wasn't crying about it, simlply stated what happened. Why you bustin' his chops?
-
@ate2fiver Looks like Taleo got pinched from both sides, 931 & 935 at the apex. I'd say 935 was the main cause. quick reflexes on Taleo and the camer bike.
Crit racing is fast & quick.... need cat-like reflexes. Not for the faint of heart. precisely why I dig it so much.

How Mr. Matt Chatlaong is able to put out 1500+ watts after holding his HR over 195 for a minute or so, and then push his HR to 208 is totally beyond me. What an athlete. And great coaching too I bet.

Great video, and congratulations on the win. Can't see you staying in cat 3 for long - I saw an interview with Cavendish and he mentioned that he can hit 1,600 watts but not for very long; you're in the ballpark!

I watched the finish...and Taleo, you don't get to move up on the inside and expect everyone to move. You were in a bad position and they were in a single file line. that's racing, dude! Fact is, you made it throught the final turn and had a clear shot to the line and just got worked in the sprint. The Camera guy had the same pinch as you and managed to win the sprint. No one would have dq'd Rio Strada. He made a good line. Try a SoCal crit sometime, NorCal guys are gentlemen!

Wasn't sure if you were there or not but if you were in front of the pack they came to hard across from me where I had to slam on the brakes I wouldn't mind letting them get in front of me at all but if it wasn't for slamming on the brakes it would of been a crash matt was right behind me he was my witness and I'm not no bitch about no sprint it juts matter of doing this right in a race it's called respect playing dirty will only catch up to you by the way this sprint was wack I did the pro 123

@babyjp37 Rio Strada didnt cut you off, he was on the wheel of the guy in front of him. You got swarmed coming into the corner, thats your bad. If you dont like the risk that is affiliated with sprinting, get off the front.
@DataDrivenAthlete I am the jr that was caught at the start of the vid (far right). I got beaten for the prime. I can't believe that after the final corner you still pulled that off! well until i saw your watts anyway =)

@euroJCpro Thanks for checking out the video. I would love to take credit for having a great sprint but alas that credit goes to Mr. Matt Chatlaong, one of the athletes I coach and the rider in the video. If I could pop 1500w in a sprint I would be throwing a party every day of the week :)

I have a question about etiquette, rules, protocol...
At 3:47, who was in the wrong? How should that have been handled? Was there potentially a protest with the use of your video on that?
ate2fiver 9 months ago
@ate2fiver Well...I think that would likely fall under the old cliche, "that's bike racing". Especially in the last lap of a crit, stuff happens...

@DataDrivenAthlete I agree with the "that's racing"---- it just happens. We are not pros and are handling skills are not as good as Cav. If there was a crash or big money involved then maybe. Nice PIP and Front and Rear. You mastered recording racing better than anyone on YouTube..
