On Fox News last night, Bill O'Reilly claimed that Sen. John McCain is behind Sen. Barack Obama in the polls because he isn't appearing on The O'Reilly Factor.

  • Well, no one is watching NBC/MSNBC, so McCain should have gone on Fox. Obama just got 35 million viewers for his informercial. If McCain wanted to keep closing the gap, he should have gone on a show with the numbers. He didn't, and things will probably not look good for him on election day. O'Reilly's point is valid.

  • The senator "passed" because O'Reilly viewers have already swallowed the kool-aid.

  • "The senator passed, and we don't exactly know why..."

Because he already had the rabid stupids that watch the factor; appearing on your show wouldn't have helped him at all.
