Well, I just posted a winter video to cool you off (Snowbird) but it's time for me to get back in season, so here's something brighter and happier. Tulips. Lots and lots of tulips! This is a Chet "oldie" but it never grows moldy, because Chet's music is going to endure for generations. Anyway, hope this brightens up your day! Oh and by the way, you'll notice that I refrained from putting any pictures of Tiny Tim in the video...

Shades of night are creeping
Willow trees are weeping
Old folks and babies are sleeping
Silver stars are gleaming
All alone I'm scheming
Scheming to get you out here, my dear, come
Come on out and pet me
Come and "Juliet" me
Tease me and slyly "coquette" me
Let me Romeo you, I just want to show you
How much I'm willing to do for you, come

Tip toe to the window, by the window
That is where I'll be, come
Tip toe thru the tulips with me
Tip toe from your pillow
To the shadow of the willow tree
And tip toe thru the tulips with me

Knee deep in flowers we'll stray
We'll keep the showers away
And if I kiss you in the garden
In the moonlight, will you pardon me
Come tip toe thru the tulips with me

  • @mrrich1733 Tiny Tim?

  • yep

  • @daffydoug No today's music has no soul is what the problem is. No matter how it was put across the musicians of the 60's, 70's and 80's knew how to project it even if they were metal bands. Today's music is nothing but hatred or total mush crap pop. Shoot even Frank Sinatra would probably thumb his nose at what is considered pop/easy listening today. When bands of that era die off there is no one to replace them.

  • @daffydoug And I'm right here on the ol' Chet Channel to give it to them!

  • @blueagate Ineed to correct myself! I meant to type that Tim was probably highly MISunderstood!

Anyway, you're right. A lot of young kids make me proud when I see them playing Chet's tunes on their guitar. It makes me think maybe there is hope after all.

What we had is true music. That's why it's probably attracting them. It actually has elements of harmony and melody, etc. Rap has ZERO music. No wonder the kids eventually become bored and disillusioned and seek something with more substance.

  • @daffydoug No offense intended but the man couldn't sing. We must remember in the 60's anyone that wasn't cleancut all-american was considered decadent. Compared to what we have now, Tiny Tim was mild. Just like the Beatles were considered evil because they had long hair. Just like parents probably wax nostalgic for Led Zepplin instead of Snoop Doggy Dog. But, more and more kids are coming back to our generations music!
