The household dryer vent can get extremely dirty over a couple years. This can result in poor dryer performance and can even pose a fire hazard risk. To clean the vent remove the back of dryer and the back part of the top.
Unscrew the vent and pull it up and out of the dryer. Sometimes a vaccuum can help in cleaning the dryer inside. It is not a bad idea to clean the hose that goes from the dryer to the outside of the house. This can be done from
outside the house also.

  • yes this part is inside the dryer and gets very dirty as you can see. I took the back off and then a couple screws hold this part in lifted up top at back of dryer and lifted this part out.

  • What is that you cleaned? It doesn't look like duct work? Are you saying you took the dryer itself apart to clean this? I knew you had to clean the lint screen on the dryer and the duct leading to where it vents outside
