Late reply I know, but I had to answer this question seeing as no-one else bothered, lol.
Heath Ledger based part of his version of the Joker on Alex from A Clockwork Orange. He'd sit in his trailer watching the film before going out and filming scenes as the Joker. So that'll be why you see the similarities.

I have to hand it to you simply because this was opening night and yet you already had the look and mannerisms of Ledger's Joker pretty much down. You must have already watched a leak copy of the movie prior to the premiere.

This is random as hell but the joker and those fuckin henchmen motherfuckers in The Dark Night reminds me alot of Alex in A Clockwork Orange... anyone else make that connection? Or is it just me?
