Building materials explained
What is up with the material drop-down control? Edit tools -- Object tab and look for "Materials". You will see selections that can change the physical property of a prim (e.g., wood, plastic, stone, rubber etc.). A prim's material affects its friction; glass is the most slippery, and it also affects the collision sound. Physical objects are affected by gravity, so they can fall if you drop them. When you drop them you will be able to see and hear the differences in physical properties of objects. Scripting objects lets you customize them even further.
