It's all onboard programming, no software. I will also say that after using this keyboard over a year, the typing is NOT great. Some keys stick and just don't have the best feel to them. My typing has lost accuracy and speed from this keyboard. I'm seriously thinking about migrating to a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, and it's half the price. The Luxeed U5 is more of a novelty than anything.

On luxeed's website, they explain anti-ghosting, which allows multiple keys being pressed without overiding one another.

Is this for windows vista? Also is there like a software program that allows me to change the colour of each key seperately on the pc, not just use the default keys on the keyboard?

the g19 is better for 200 bucks ,

and the Saitek Eclipse II is only $52 bucks ( better back litting but only 3 colors )
