This video features the beautiful, traditional Jewish melody,"Hine Ma Tov", played on the ancient Kinnor Lyre - last played by my Levite ancestors, 3000 years ago in the Temple of Jerusalem...here played once more, in my spare room, Salford, Lancashire!!;o)

The transiteration from Hebrew,& the translation of the words of this song into English are as follows:

Heenay matov oo'ma-na-eem
Shevet acheem gum yachad.

Heenay ma tov oo'ma-na-eem
Shevet acheem gum yachad.

HeeNAY ma-a-tov Shevet AchEEM gum yachad
HeeNAY ma-a tov Shevet AchEEM gum yachad

(Repeat all)

This song can be sung as a round.
Group 1 begins..Group 2 begins on line 2 (shevet acheem).

The translation into English of this song is as follows:

"How good and how pleasant it is
To sit together with brothers."

  • What a Beautiful Lyre and how incredibly special to have an heirloom not only that aged but that has actually been played in The Temple of Yerushalem!

The sound is just incredible I can only imagine what it must sound like it person.

It brought tears to my eyes. Note~The translation is actually ; How good & pleasant it is to dwell with brothers in Unity! Yachad = (Divine) Unity.
