Saw him at the Rainbow Bistro in Ottawa about 20 years ago...got him to sign my guitar strap...also, on said strap are Pat Metheny, BB King, Al di Meola and Michel Cusson (from UZEB)!
Another little story about the strap is when I went to see Stevie Ray Vaughan play at the Civic Centre in Ottawa right after the release of the In Step album and I happened to know one of the security guys so when SRV walked offstage I got my buddy to try to get him to sign it...but he had already left - sniff.
