Probably the best Bollywood Dance that I have seen on SYTYCD till now because it actually had the bollywood touches with the thumkas.

wow. until now, i never thought it was possible to mess up a bollywood song. im not an expert at bollywood dance, but that did not look like it at all.

@kdmhmdlover123 bollywood itself can hardly match their dance with songs :P , how could you expect from them, they are not from bollywood, however, it was an energetic performance.

luved the choreography and i can see the effort they put in, but the choreography could hve been more up beat, like the song. i knw wht the song lyrics r saying and the dance in some places didnt hve anything to do with the song. besides tht, it was awesome!

You know we seem to forget that none of them are indians, so we can't really expect them to be perfect at bollywood dancing, or bhangra and bharatnatiyam. They only had a week to rehearse this performance and honestly i think they did good from what little they knew about bollywood, this is the best 'indian' performance i've seen so far in SYTYCD.

As somebody who's done Bhangra & Bollywood Danca for a long time... this is not an accurate portrayal of the Bollywood style, let alone Bhangra. This is what you would expect from people who are paid to choreograph dances, but have not taken the opportunity to properly educate themselves about the style of dance, culturally and traditionally.

@LadyGraceSophiee i don't think they'd have the time, really. they don't get a lot fo time to come up with routines - it's easier to listen to the music and come up with something that expresses the music, not the lyrics. i've translated a number of item songs and quite frankly, when put into north american context, they're rubbish. no guy talk over here talks about the flash of a woman's eyes making his heart skip a beat. the song would get laughed off the air.

@threenorns3 Yeah, well I watch bollywood movies like crazy too and I'm just learning hindi aswell, all I'm saying is that the coreographers should take a little more into consideration, I personally find it great what they're doing incorperation bollywood into sytycd, but it would be nice if they actually researched the song a little to give them perspective.

@LadyGraceSophiee is the point to create a dance routine that will highlight the sytycd contestant's skills and what they've learned or to reproduce the original?

i watch bollywood movies like crazy. don't spk a word of hindi. i don't care what the words to the song are, i want a fabulous dance routine to watch.
