@fsxsimmer20 first try without incrasing the voltage, with "auto" or "Default" voltage i can overclock my 1075t to 4ghz no problem as soon as i go over that i need to incrase it so try leaving the voltage at default or just a little bit past it and see if it helps. 550watt seems quite low but i dont know how much a 460 consume, better try prime95 it will max the cpu only and no other components during testing

My computer blue screens me as soon as i overclock to 4 GHz. I have a GTX 460, 12gb ddr3, and a 550watt power supply. My cooler is the corsair H50. Do you think thats the problems? It doesnt matter if i increase the voltage, because it still does it. Do you think the PSU is the problem? Thanks!

i can get 4.2 stable on 5 cores at 1.475

would you consider the cooler master hyper 212 good overclocking cpu cooling?

@EliasO89 As mentioned in other comments below I run stock cooling.

@gogiet Not necessarily.

@Adityav95 if i want to overclock my cpu do i have to clock the ram to? i have 8gb 1333mhz
Hello I have a question. Currently I run my 1090T @ 3.6ghz on water and at a auto voltage. CPU-Z says it's around 1.44V (fluctuates +/- 0.02V). I recently pushed to 4Ghz with multiplier only and +0.1V so it's around 1.54V. I still get the occasional bsod so I believe more voltage would be required to make it stable but the safe working voltage is 1.55V, am I stuck with a crappy bach cpu that can only go upto 3.8ghz stable? :(

@jazza2400 Your CPU is supposed to easily work till 3.6GHz with stock voltage and cooling. At least mine does. 1.55v is too much for a 3.6GHz OC. You might want to check whether the BSOD is because of your CPU alone or something else. DO you get a BSOD on stock clocks?

is it safe to stay overclock to 3.8ghz for 24hrs?

@Dvizion08 Depends on your cooling.
