What most people don't understand is that music does not define itself as all instruments are necessary. The Dj plays when he needs to, when it would create harmony with the song and tie up any and all sounds. If the intro to The Beatles "Day Tripper" were to endlessly repeat throughout the song, it would dry and meaingless.
