@whatguess2003 I had the same problem, (wrist injuries from drumming), but I've gotten around it by stretching daily, using wrist extensor exercises (like putting your fingers around a rubber band and extending your fingers out), and just by doing the exercise with light weight.
Try it- remember this grip carries over to a lot of other exercises, cleans especially.
