I am happy the Poles are here, they are as good as any immigrants that have come to Britain & they seem to like being here. They also came during WW2 and had no problem integrating into our society then.

Some think Poland was 3rd world country when it was actually 2nd world country. After it has joined EU it's definitely 1st world country.

There were actually 3 countries: Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968 and, last but not least, POLAND in 1980-81 and later 1989. Only then was the Berlin wall pulled down!!! And only then did other soviet block countries join Poland in destroying communism in Europe!

Poles can largely contribute to science, culture, literature of America or other countries but their gumption has always been suppressed by the authority! Why on earth is that?!
