And just a cultural note: the venue for this concert (Praça da Apoteose) is the same where Samba School Parades take place every year during Carnaval.

Their concert in Rock in Rio 2 was about 198.000 people and took place at Maracanã stadium. And I was there!!!

And also last year at Citibank Hall. And the year before at the same venue. Unfortunatelly last year's concert was part of Farewell Tour. It's a shame we now have such terrible musicians and singers and on the other hand good bands like that put an end to their careers. :-(

We already had in Rock in Rio 3 a Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert with almost 250,000 people. A paid audience. Probably the Rock in Rio 2 concert kept this record for a period but i'm quite sure it's not their anymore. This concert shown here happened 2 years before, in 1989, at another venue in Rio. There has been probably less then half of the audience they were about to face in 1991 during Rock in Rio 2.
