@joeysmith59 Dig a Pony is a classic!!

I'd like to see a movie where they use this song, as well as the Gershwin tune with the same title, on the soundtrack.

This is wonderful. I love demos almost more than the polished versions, because you can hear the guitar stripped down without all the layers and layers of music that buries the raw, emotional and spiritual elements of a song. It is also easier to learn a song when you hear it "bare bones". Please continue to post more demos / bootlegs / outtakes. I have not heard most of them but would love to !

three years earlier, but his pleasant demeanour can’t hide the residual bitterness he feels over the incident. He explains how he had considered giving the song to Frank Sinatra to record, but had decided against it when he realised that Sinatra would record almost anything. A brief fragment of a playback of “Get Back” can be faintly heard during this conversation, but no one seems to be listening to it.
He wrote it in 1966.

GET BACK The Beatles Let It Be Disaster (Doug Sulpy & Ray Schweighardt)
Sunday January 26th, 1969
George provides some background to his song “Isn’t It A Pity.” He jokes and quotes the spoken introduction to Tiny Tim’s recording of Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire” in which Tiny introduces the number as one originally recorded “way back in the ‘50’s” (The Beatles will cover “Great Balls of Fire” later in the day). He then recalls John’s off hand rejection of “Isn’t It a Pity”

@kingsergio128 It has to be '66? George offered it to the Beatles for Revolver, which was released that year. Still, it doesn't sound like George circa '66. I am sure he had to of had a demo for the others to listen to before making their decision - a bad decision (John's) to ommit this epic song from Revolver or their subsequent records. With My Sweet Lord, George's first solo #1.

Oh my..What an album 'Let it Be' could have been.
Add: Isnt it a Pity, All Things Must Pass, Dont Let Me Down, Junk
Delete: One After 909, For You Blue, Dig a Pony
You would have the best album of all-time!
