Westbank Fire - water bombers called up

Westside Fire Rescue call in water bombers to put down a fire only 800 meters from homes. Cindy and I were returning from a mountain trip where we were already commenting on how dry the forests of BC were when we came across a forest fire in progress. Darren Lee of the Westside Fire Rescue explains what happened.
With already a dry season, many dead trees due to the pine beetle I think we are on the brink of a major forest fire event this year.

I have been listening to the radio all day and i heard a lady that talked on the radio saying see lives on Webber road and she and others did not leave because they knew that that would not be able to return. She had went on to tell the people who lives on Webber road that all the houses are ok, the area is still on evacuation order but are ok, I hope this helps Zombiefalldown!! I live In Kelowna also
