Have people forgotten about Borg or Connors or Mac or Sampras or Agassi?
The only people who get forgotten (or rarely discussed) are the ones who dont give back or stay involved in the game like Lendl. Fed will stay involved with game.
in 20 years time people will still pay big bucks to watch a Fed/ Nadal exho. Fed will sit in the stand at RG and Wim. His 2 5 consec GS record will last a lifetime. Commentators will call great shots Federeresque.
He wont be forgotten.

2 years after he retires he will be forgotten. This is life. New generations come in. There will be new equiptment again and Federer will be considered an outdated fool who used old equiptment. This is how you dumb Americans think of Laver,etc. The same will happen to Federer.
