40 years ago in 1971, an album was issued through the Liverpool local newspaper "The Liverpool Echo" with the profits going to the "Liverpool Echo 1971 Christmas Appeal for the Old and Needy".
The record is in the form of a documentary about Merseyside with famous Liverpudlians and people associated with Liverpool talking about the area, the culture, soccer, scouse dialect etc. with especially recorded interviews and music performed especially for the record.
Includes John Peel * Kenny Everett * Roger McGough * Adrian Henri * Arthur Askey * Harold Wilson * Arthur Dooley * Frankie Vaughan * Arthur Askey and many many more. I have used this Record to make this video showing scenes in Liverpool. Most of the pictures are from the Liverpool records Office and others are either owned by me or sourced from the internet. If you would like credit for any of the pictures please let me know and I will acknowledge you.
The video has been made for pleasure and to share and is not for profit.

I was 15 when i left for Canada and never went back, but it a rare day that i don't think of my home City.
Playing near the Ralla and the floating down the Cut on home made rafts.
Thank you for the Glimps in the rear view.
