Reminds me of my childhood, LOL! When I was a kid, I saw this commercial, and I wondered what "brazier" meant. And being the inquisitive child I was, I asked my mom (keep in mind I was 7 years old at the time, and I had pronounced it like "brassiere"), and she got this most disapproving look on her face, and she asked me where I had heard that word. When I told her I saw it on a Dairy Queen commercial and spelled it for her, she sounded so relieved, and told me it was a cooking device. LMAO!
$1.69 for all that?? I paid FOUR SEVENTY-FIVE for an under-presented (no whipped cream or cherry) choc. shake @ Dairy Queen this evening!! Ridiculous!
I know. The dollar was much stronger & quality of life was so much better because you could get so much more for your dollar (plus the economy for the most part was red hot).
Dairy Queen still has crazy deals like this where you can get a burger, drink & ice cream for under $4, which is pretty good for today. They usually have them in the summer.
Dick was a VERY smart businessman; he "shilled" for Dairy Queen the way Bing Crosby originally endorsed Minute Maid frozen orange juice in the late '40s [and HE was a major stockholder in that company as well].
gosh i miss the 80s

$1.69 for a full meal? Those were the days! I want a time machine so that I can relive the 80s!

@nextbarker They have meal combos, but I don't think they still do that full meal deal.
