Wow here is a simple fact Gaffney beat byrns fair and square in 04 and 06. Byrns for the past 8 years has had a consisten great team. But Gaffney has had great teams since the 20s. Yeagh there are some dry spells as there is with all teams. Personally though in my opinion gaffney hasnt recieved the attention it deserves for the power house football program it has. They hold more state titles then any other high school in the state but all you ever hear about it seems is byrns y i dont know.

Yeah no doubt gaffney had the better team in 2006 but its funny when gaffney beat byrnes the 3 times in the last 8 years the total margin of victory was 18 points. But when Byrnes whens they stomp their ass. Remember the beatdown at the new reservation in the rain? Or how bout that 49-14 beatdown in 2007. As far as dorman yeah they beat us in the season for the 1st time in 7 yrs but who won win it mattered? Byrnes of course and we went on to win state, for the 6th time in 7 years!
