  • can someone please post the ENTIRE Le Coq suite? (the above is the last movement) It's fabulous. I especially like the snaky first movement with sensual chromatisms in the winds. Genius.

  • @TheRobertTaggart YOur question is something I've been trying to figure out--its a brilliant score--the suite is so fantastic with a touch of the macabre.

  • Brilliant. But ! There another version...

    MFP (Music for Pleasure) label, 1970's, vinyl, 45 rpm, - Marches from the Classics, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (?). This piece included methinks the first half of the first movement to this work - before this. You could not hear the 'join' ! Now that takes some beating.

    Question. Why does this piece (or indeed the version mentioned) never appear on the programmes of any classical concerts ?

    Moi ? - Halle-an ! (Manchester).
