I just love this song. It takes a special man & a special woman to work offshore and do everything while your hubby is gone. These men are some of the best men on earth, and all us oilfield wives appreciate you men working so hard on these rigs!!! It's a rough job, but it's a great living. Thanks guys, we love you!!

Derrick hand from Alaska. Probably the only country song thats ever choked me up. My grandfather was pushing tools on the west side of the Cook Inlet, Ak. He was killed by a boiler explosion while asleep in his atco unit when my mom was thirteen. She married a roughneck and they had me. I grew up on a two and two schedule. Now my bosses are people they broke out. Its a lifestyle and had more than one girl not be able to handle it. Got a good one now though. F!@#, Fight, Trip pipe.
