I like how you gradually played with shadows in the beginning, sort of natural at first as the passage of time, but gradually greater till it was clear the shadow was moving in to swallow the man. I'm a fan of the stop motion art form and for a first video this is pretty impressive. You had a story you wanted to tell and did just that.
