Christmas will never be the same without the grand holiday variety shows of TV past...Gisele MacKenzie, Perry Como, the cast of Your Hit Parade, Bing Crosby, and the others made those holidays merry and bright. Enjoy this TV memory as Perry Como and The Ray Charles singers perform Happy Holidays & It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, which is done a capella!

  • @calihartley2010 Talent? If the majority of today's singers actually have talent, then I'm Friedrich Wilhelm Nietszche.

  • Let's be clear...the title of the first song is Happy Holiday, NOT Happy Holidays.

  • studios will only issue the old tv christmas specials on dvd if they think their is a demand. the best thing to do is to send cbs, nbc, abc, and any others a messege you want them. same for warner brothers,20 centry fox, columbia, and the rest who made old tv shows like 77 sunset strip hawaiian eye,maverick....ect...ect. they'll only issue if you demand it which means they need to hear your voice. they are run by people under 50 who see people over that age as passed it all.

  • @calihartley2010 Did you notice that Mr. Como is singing "Happy HOLIDAYS." You seem to want people to do what you personally feel is necessary to meet your needs and thoughts. Remember that there are several holidays happening at the same time of year, so Happy HOLIDAYS fits the need to wish everyone a good time for all these fine events. Please now, lets get back to discussing the music and videos and not your personal whims...you sound like someone of the ilk of sara palin.

  • @mikestheman3 Thats because all these 100 channels only cater to the trashy ideals of today's generation.

  • @VideosTimes2 I am shocked from looking at the vidoes you like that you would prefer people saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. We have the same tastes BTW. I too respect others traditions and beliefs , but in turn I would ask that they respect mine and say Merry Christmas. I have no hang ups of saying 'Happy Hannukkah' to a jewish person. By saying Happy holidays in today's terms is only making Christmas more secular and taking away the true meaning.

  • @calihartley2010 So why should everyone be like you? Some people like to show respect for others' beliefs and traditions. I'd never 'insist' that anyone else say one thing or another...I think you should be more like that.

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 Talent today is trashy and disrespectful.

  • @Kindahuge so you should be like me and say Christmas and insist that others do so. That will give people the message and it will be like the old days

  • its so sad we don't have stuff like this anymore. Instead we get assholes like Josh Groban and little whiny bitches like Taylor Swift and Rihanna.

I'm 17 and I wish we had more people like Perry Como, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire
