The thing I've been wanting to build for years. Hardware acceleration has brought rendering previously not possible, and new things like CSS' border-radius allow for drawing circles out of things in plain old HTML. It is rather awesome.
This would work on iOS (and is HW-accelerated), except that with iOS you can only play one sound at a time currently (and scratching/pitch bending is out.)
The pitch control + scratching is the only part that needs Flash (and the processing of this is where things got really funky) - everything else works via HTML5 audio.
This is an experimental prototype, about two weeks' worth of tinkering. Kudos to twitter.com/iamintricate for his graphic design work.
Additional disclaimer: Tunes aren't my own, but this is a live remix. Also, my ability to scratch and mix with a mouse is fairly weak - I'm still learning. ;)
June 2011 update: Now live! Safari 5 or Chrome 12 recommended.

And last but not least, source code! :)

Very very cool! I've imagined building something like this myself. I'd love to see the source code some time
