-From the Audio Drama: Zagreus-
The Eighth Doctor meets his three predecessors in his final moments.

*UPDATED* Mistake in the captions, "Happy unto" is now "A bientot!" Thank you to StormsongK for your help!

*WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW*

-EXPLANATION-
The Eighth Doctor and his companion Charlotte "Charley" Pollard are locked in the TARDIS, with the Doctor infected by a strange matter called Anti-Time, thus transforming his persona into that of the Gallifreyan "boogeyman" Zagreus. Throughout the adventure, he learns more and more about a race of creatures called the Divurgence, whom Rasillon had imprisoned. Ad the Doctor and Charlotte progress further into the adventure, Charlotte meets three men who share the appearance of the Doctor's previous incarnations, but are in reality fragments of his mind locked away. Once they are freed, and the Doctor regains clarity, he asks Charley to kill him with Rassilon's sword. Hestiantly, Charlotte complies, with former companions Leela and Romana present. However, in a sort of limbo, the Doctor encounters his Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh incarnations.

  • Sorry guys, can't upload any more. I've lost my Big Finish credentials (temporarily) and the computer containing the audio dramas has been rendered out of service...(Also temporarily), xD

  • do you have the full drama?

  • Yes, on my desktop which is currently....less than fully functional.

    Why do you ask?

  • It's the British Broadcasting Corporation, rather than Company.

  • Whoops, I thought so, but doubt reared its ugly head in my progress!

  • Ah, this is a great moment, with all the 4 doctors featured on the cover actually meeting up, even in death. The ONLY part of Zagreus I actually like. I wonder why?

  • Great hearing these 4 Doctors together

  • @brigeboy95 ...took control over the Sixth in and made him regenerate so that Six in fact holds a grudge against Seven for effectively murdering him to be born and will one day becomeValeyard to take revenge on the Doctor, as detailed in "Love and War". You can believe all of it happened, some of it happened, or nothing at all. That's what Build-Your-Own-Canon means. It's not things like "I think Rose Tyler is the Rani in disguise, and the Silence must be Zagreus". There's no substance for that.

  • For example, you can believe that the Sixth Doctor just bumped his head in Time and the Rani and regenerated into Seven. Then, you can believe that the novel "Spiral Scratch" happened, where he was weakened prior to his regeneration so that the bump on the head just happened to be the straw that broke the camels back. Then, you can also believe that the Doctor consciously commited suicide to become Time's Champpion, as detailed in the eponimous novel, or that a dormant Seventh consciousness...

  • @brigeboy95 Of course, I think BF is canon to the TV Series, that is, Classic Who. But there are so very few ties to New Who that the Silence just can't be Zagreus. Yet. Until someone writes an officially released story that they are the agents of the Lord of Anti-Time. There's a difference between making stuff up and stuff that's clearly linked together where you can decide whether it's part of your personal canon or not.

  • @KingLofiOne yes but still as moffat and rtd have said fans decide what is canon so i see big finish productions canon to the tv series hmm i must pick up that audio with the fifth doctor

  • @brigeboy95 That is true, but Big Finish are not allowed to use Aliens or characters created for the new series, and the other way round, so they'll never acknowledge each other officially. Big Finish sometimes does some sneaky references, for example in "The Kingmaker" the Fifth Doctor writes himself a note to deliver a letter next time he passes by seventeenth century England. The receiver then wonders who that "northern bloke with the big ears and the leather jacket" was.

  • @KingLofiOne doctor who does not have a canon rtd and moffet have made that clear the fans decide what is canon

  • @bjago01 eh, now he does. these audio dramas have redeemed him immensely, but at the time i couldn't get paid to watch colin baker....

  • 'i never got to blackpool....'

great line for the sixth doctor

  • @Richiepookinshoo They're all of his incarnations speaking to him from inside his own mind. Each individual personality seems to stay somewhere in the Doctor's subconscious, and, in a weird way, "Live" through him, although buried deep down.

It's probably how each Doctor has memories of their past incarnations.

  • It's a shame McGann only had one on screen appearance as the Doctor. Imagine if these four men were on screen? It would be awesome.
