  • well, the problem is that these are almost all natural substances, what the feds doing is the equivalent of locking people up for eating a mushroom out in the wild to feel good. It doesn't make any sense and pauls right we don't want our kids doing these things but it's our place not the feds to regulate it. We must acccept responsibility and educate our children so they know not to do these things and if they are legal the thrill is gone.

  • yeah its weird...our culture seems to promote narcissism yet when it comes down to it no one wants to be themselves, to assume their responsibilities, they just wanna admire themselves and be admired by others for essentially no reason. Maybe it has alot to do with parents but I think more its a larger cultural phenomena that expresses itself through them. Though what it is is no one wants to grow up, or maybe they just dont know what growing up really means....

  • E) it is harder to treat and help addicts to stay healthy and hopefully quit eventually when we treat them all like criminals and lepers, F) as previously said, inflating the prices of prugs through prohibition enriches the violent criminal elements and forces addicts to steal/prostitute in order to finance habit, G) no regulation means there is no standards for drug production/sale, dealers can put laxatives etc in drugs, selling to kids is same risk as selling to adults.

  • What prohibition causes is problems. A) it is massively expensive to tax-payers for government to try to limit the drug trade, B) it is massively expensive to tax-payers for government to imprison so many non-violent drug offenders, C) keeping the drug trade unregulated and black market allows violent criminal element to control most of the industry, D) the government misses out on taxation of produce,

    Continued:

  • If anyone, including kids, want to get drugs, if their parents and society haven't taught them better, and they can't figure out or don't care what heroin/meth/etc will do to them, they will find a dealer and get the stuff and use it.

    The fact is that law enforcement can't stop it or even adequately abate it, all prohibition accomplishes is to keep the prices of drugs massively inflated, which actually forces addicts to commit theft and prostitution rather than stopping them from using.

  • Marajuana doesn't meet the standards to be a controlled substance. It is not addictive.

  • No where did Dr. Paul say to give drugs to kids.

    DEA...what a joke.

    DEA = gubment talking head.

    Let the parents keep their kids off drugs, not the gubment.

  • yea, let's listen to a fucking DEA agent!! NONSENSE

  • most crime is actually connected to the harder drugs... junkies who will do anything to get their fix. And of course, the mega drug cartels who supply them. legalizing weed is a step, tho

  • @andrewyaoauatauabaea But other people controlling what we take in is wrong because they do not have a controlling body making them do those things for one. If I want to eat a gram of cyanide I will and if people try to stop me they are in the wrong. That is what Freedom is.

  • @Luigi84289

    It doesn't matter that it is natural.

    If everything natural is healthy then why don't you eat a gram of cyanide.
