Wang Shujin leads a class in Japan. Wang Shujin studied and taught the three major "internal" martial arts: Hsing I, Bagua, and Taiji. He was quite famous in Taiwan and later Japan. To read more about Wang Shujin click this link: http://www.emptyflower.com/xingyiquan/crossing/wangshujin.html

  • @voltra93

He had a host of serious illnesses/injuries as he got close to dying. As a hi-level in the I Quan Tao cult he was a strict vegetarian--I've noticed all people in I Quan Tao I know have blood sugar issues/diabetes and high blood pressure---all that carb/sugar and vegetable oil. And they all crave sweets...not enough vegetables, especially green things........

  • @michahberta, that sounds awesome

  • @israelifaggot true but not for me I got lucky and studied true combat hsing i . Its out there just hard to find. Most everyone has turned hsing i into a tia chi type thing I HATE IT

  • Rest in peace great master.

  • as much as i love the internal martial arts, i have found the external/internal arts are much better, like SPM, bak mei, dragon etc. the reason being, most internal teachers aren't very martial arts oriented, they are more like hippies wanting to acheive health. i have been training SPM for 2 months now, and i am building internal power, while learning devastating applications that could easily finish someone. if only more taichi teachers taught their art properly.

  • Bruce Frantzis studied with Wang Shujin. On meeting, Bruce tells him he's a karate adept. "Ah," says Shujin, :karate only for women and small children." The first time they fought, Bruce couldn't touch him. That's when Bruce asked to study with him. The story of what he went through to become accepted in his book, The Power of Internal Martial Arts and Chi.
