thought id try it. I played drums and bass then played over it with my LP goldtop. I used the M13 for guitar and bass on this. As you can hear I suck at drums :)

  • Mick, if you had to choose between a Line 6 M13 and a Line 6 HD pedal board, which would you go for? I am torn between the two.

  • @TalkToTheBody well the HD is everything the M13 is plus amp models so i suppose id go with the HD i have one on the way as i type.

  • very very gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!

  • really good and cool!!! :) you're not bad at all!

  • very well done .. u gonna add the piano aswell? Thanks for posting a cover of my fav U2 song :)

  • Working with limited reverb options, trying to figure out what you used with this classic song/video. Not familiar with the M13, if you find time to share settings/ type of reverb used I would appreciate it. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  • @domonichimself Now if the M13 had one line of 4 effects and not 3 lines then I can see how it works but this scene mode is confusing, probably ok when you get to have a go on it. I'll try and find time to go into a store when I am next in the UK. So in your opinion what are the bad points on the M13 or maybe i should say if you could improve it what would you like to see?

  • @TalkToTheBody nope...scene mode switches the entire setup. all 12 pedals will revert to the saved scenes last useage. so if youre running delay, chorus, distortion wah and wanna switch to chorus, flange, overdrive, whammy you can do it all in one press. also you can route the effects how you want. like i prefer my rhythm delay in front of the amp but my solo delay is a little longer and has more feedback so i have it routed through the effects loop

  • @domonichimself Thanks very much for your input, I think there's a lot of guys out there who are torn between the M13 and HD500. It's great to know all the effects are identical on the HD500, the only thing that is bugging me is the fear of becoming a tweaker again and not a player. The M13 however seems like you cannot switch several effects at once unless you have 6 feet so swicthing between totally different sounds becomes a bit of a foot challenge?

  • @TalkToTheBody i have. Believe it or not they are the EXACT same effects processors. The HD500 gets its effects from the M series which is Line6s highest quality effects. where the HD applies is in the amp modeling. However as a man with a great sounding amp, i wouldnt want to color it with modeling, just effects. So i chose the M13. they are the exact same price also. The M13 is simply easier to use and set up. The HD is the shit too though. just more irritating to setup with the lack of knobs

  • @mick3b1g Cheers Mick for that prompt reply. Now I dare say there is not one man on You Tube who knows the M13 better than you and the quality of its sounds. What gets me is the M13 costs more than the HD500 yet as you said yourself the HD500 has more to offer. Are you going for the HD500? I assume you've tested the HD? If you have are the effects just as good in the HD than on the M13, ie. not watered down versions etc
