R Dean Taylor was one of the few "caucasian" Americans to record for Mowtown. The other was Charlene "I've never been to me"

I remember it well - UK, April 1974. It was re-released when it was discovered it was a big favourite of the non-mainstream-charts but hugely influential Northern Soul scene.

Unfortunatley, I only remember "Indiana Wants Me" (Canada #1, U.S. Billboard #5, U.S. Cashbox #1, UK #2)

and

# 1971: "Gotta See Jane" [re-issue] (Canada #12, U.S. #67)

getting much attention in the U.S.A.

I cant believe this is the "Indiana wants me" dude. I just stumbled on this today. I read about it in Mojo, so I had a feeling it was something special. I hope I never run out of new Motown treasures. Once again, the Funk Bros are better then the best session guys n both coasts combined!
