completely agreed. It would be a scandal if Antichrist receives the Palm D'Or over the much favored A Prophet. It would take tremendous courage for the Jury to award Antichrist. "They" did it before when Antonioni's La Avventura amid boos was declared a masterpiece. They should do it again.

If you're not willing to push boundaries . . be it through special effects, acting, sound, lighting . . make up . . . whatever. . . then you just become part of an already crowded circle of redundancy.
Von Trier is an innovator. If his honesty is more brutal than most . . . then it is what it is. Even now knowing that this movie is explicitly graphic at times, i'd still see it because as a filmmaker, he has taste.
