Ladies and Gentlemen, my fellow Poles

We meet today in front of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland on April 1, but this is by no means any joke, it is for real.
The Parliament wants to ratify the Lisbon Treaty that deprives the Republic of Poland its sovereignty, our beloved Republic of Poland.

Donald Tusk speaks:

This day is very important. We have waited long weeks for this very day, in this hall, for many different reasons to hear the decision in the matter of the way of ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, waited with great tension, as I think, and I am saying this with confidence, with no exceptions, with our good will.

My name is Andrzej Czachor and I am a scientist in physics from Warsaw. I am standing here in front of the Parliament in this so important and terrible day, the day on which the Seym and our MPs are going to resign from sovereignty of our state.
