This is a Vic Pore original inspired from singing and playing fretless bass with John Cooke & Danny Neal in the early 70's. "It was an exciting time for me as a musician just starting out."
Pictures were taken by Eddie Munsun. Thanks Eddie for helping make this music video possible and you too Rocky Miller(PC&N's awesome soundman) for getting these pics to me. Recording was done in Mike McClain's Studio and features Mark Le Blanc on backing vocals.

  • Danny Neal lived on the street right behind mine.. and I would walk down our alley every chance I got to hear he and his band, The Exits rehearse.. back in the early 70's. These guys were seriously great.. doing Guess Who, Grand Funk Railroad, Bloodrock, Santana, Zeppelin.... sounding exactly like those bands. The Exits were a huge musical influence on me... really inspired me to get really serious on my instrument.. and getting into a band :-)

  • @jeremybigham I went to school with your Uncle John. He was one of my boyfriends in junior high. I still have the ring he bought for me with our initials on it. Your mom used to cut my hair and your granddad was my English teacher. He is the first person that told me I was a nonconformist. I loved your family--very talented, lively group. Please give them my best-Kathy Smith!

  • John Cooke and Steve Mitchell will always live on in my heart!! Thank you for posting this!!

  • I liked this song the first day I heard it. Now, seeing the pictures of you and the other members in this video, gives me a better perception, of your "Pore Cooke & Neal" days. Wish I could have been there, but I'm glad I am here now. Thanks for posting this video. You do a great job of putting your vids together, too.
