I believe the first version of the VQ engine appeared in the late 1980's maxima's. I don't know what generation they were though.

vvr vq pretty much the same concept is what hes trying to say . if you look at the engines theyre pretty much similar to eachother. block is pretty much the same . different internals and head design of course

@Girsbestfriend your right i dont own either, i have a 2000 Grand Prix GTP coupe, but anyway i dont think a nissan maxima is as much of a 4 door sports car as a CTS-V a M5 or a Mercedes c63 AMG
