Re: Bible study: Romans 13:1-4

Response to Helgi's video on the meaning and justification of Romans 13:1-4 in all world events.

God really is in control.
If it's not of God, then it's of man.
If it's of man, then it is wicked, deceptive, cryptic, twisted and broken.
If it's of God, then it will endure forever and it stands beyond reproach, beyond scrutiny.

Just because the flesh can't understand the mind of God or God's workings or the reasoning behind why God does what he does, doesn't mean it isn't right. It is only more evidence that man is in a fallen state and that we are separated from God, not just physically but also in all of our understanding, all of our ways.

We must be born again, Helgi, to see through the spirit's eyes, and then walk in it.

Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

It is not any one person or group of people or type of person that is unique and distinct that is evil. We are all sinners. We are all guilty. All of us. We are sinners from top to bottom front to back side to side.

Luke 6:37, "Do not judge, and you won't be judged. Do not condemn, and you won't be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven."

We (Christians) love others because He first loved us. Jesus is love.

Well that would mean if we all are sinners we all go to hell, i understand that your trying to say that you souldnt judge others but this also gives the excuse to keep sinning

for i believe its not the nature of humans to sin since we where made in image of god and have the holy spirt in us.

Just the understanding that god is greater then what we are not sould be enough

This is the limit and extent to which we owe anyone anything in this world, even in submission.

Rom 13:7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. 8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. and

Rom 13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Since (as I show above) wrath, revenge & vengence are forbidden & the authorities in Ro 13 bring wrath, & avenge christians may not participate in what is they are to leave to God.

If an authority faces wrath verses demonstrating wrath, the christain still may not participate in wrath nor can they involve themselves in that which incurs wrath.

Ro 12 Forbids involvement in revenge,

vengeance, wrath

Rom12:19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord.

Ro 13 mentions who avenges & shows wrath

Ro 13:4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.

you can only get to heaven through the belief of Jesus Christ the only begotten son of God.
