On the 19th April 2008 this wonderful horse came into my life as a recently broken 4 year old.
And tbh this video sums everything up perfectly. It hasnt been easy. and Im sure this isnt the end of our struggles and many more will come but i will NEVER give up on him. I owe him that.

2008

he was a right nappy bugger :L
did our first two shows only little unafliateds
then at the end of may he threw a splint and was lame for 2 months with it
moved him upto northumberland for a bit and he came sound and was going fab so I registered him bsja and jumped a few bn and discoverys
did the 4 year old class at scope. had a few poles but was good experience
i had problems with him not being carefull enough, he didnt really respect the fences
so did a grid with him and omg since that day he has been the most carefull horse ever hahah seriously its mad!
2009;
most of 2009 was really shitty tbh. he got back problems and was off for most of the year. Only came back into proper work towards the end of july/august
Anyway he was physically back to normal but his mental state wasnt. Because he was stopping previously because of the pain he'd got stopping into his head. He'd jump at home but not at shows. We were eliminated practically every time i we went out.
Bucking was a huge problem aswell.
tried so hard to get him out of it and finally in october the work was starting to pay off! He started jumping double clears :D Quickly got all his british novice double clears and qualified for amatuer finals which he behaved really well at.
2010
At the same time our best and worst year
He was still jumping good but was so jeckel and hyde about it. Like we'd go out one weekend and hed go double clear and the next he wouldnt want to do it at all and would get eliminated at fence one :S
Was at the point of selling him and getting something younger when i realised i couldnt physically do it.
Moved him upto northumberland for the summer again and the change.... omg just amazing.
Rowallan was the start of it all tbh. Won the 1m scope qualify and the newcomers out of ALOT of very good horses. was literally speachless.
And then that was it. Didnt come home without a rosette every show. Got all his discovery double clears, won 1.10 classes. Couldnt believe it.
Anyway in may i was hacking him out and he bolted on the road. next day was hopping lame after throwing yet another splint :l
had to have 2 months box rest :l
came back just as he was before the splint (L)
in august however we had a major setback. asked him to jump something bigger and i freaked out which made him loose all his confidence.
I couldnt even jump him over 80cms. So got my cousin to ride him at scope for me and he went quiet well. still wasnt how he used to be but wasnt eliminated once and was even placed on the last day.
Moved him back to manchester not ever wanting to jump again. However after about 6 weeks i attempted a show not expecting anything and he jumped fab and got a second in the discovery and we didnt die in the newcomers hahah.
Did a winter novice qual which was terrfying but we survived :D
He won nearly £400 bsja winnings that year (L)
Then he started stopping again. bad. they werent even really dirty stops, he was just backing off miles out and no matter what i did he wouldnt jump the fences. it was like he didnt want to..... so decided to just leave him as he clearly didnt want to do it.
2011
mainly just messing around with him as hes my little pet and layed back enough to do anything with.
few weeks ago tried a unaffilaited to see if he wanted to jumop again. he clearly did hahah. 2 double clears and a first and second.
Then last week we tried a bsja....... And you know what? he went just aswell as he was going when i was in northumberland :D SO keen and up for it. Went double clear and came 3rd in the newcomers (L) cant express how happy i am with him.
