In this game, the great Lasker fails prey to a very pretty windmill combination!

  • Great analysis. I take it you grew up before people used algebraic :P.

  • @TheChessvids my first book was in descriptive notation, but i am not that old : ) i always wondered why they did not use some sort of coordinate notation, then i realized they did (when i bought my next book)

  • Excellent commentary ! A beautiful combination by a 20 year newcomer against a World Champion, E Lasker !

  • @Stenbein Black Knight is there @3:39

  • What I don't understand is why white couldn't checkmate with the queen when it was supported by both the bishop and knight?

  • @MrChessClassics Ah well, you'll get used to it.
