This is the interior view of the Simplex Bell control clock. There is one "bead" for every minute of the day on a continuous chain, which is on a continuous loop. To program a specific time of day for the bells to activate you crimp larger bead onto the chain. The chain rolls under an actuator and when a the set time or "programed bead" is at the activating point a circuit is closed for one minute. Every minute of the day a second circuit is closed allowing for a short few second period when the bell would be activated. When both circuits are closed together the bell activates.

  • My school uses one of these that's identical to this.... Except it plays an electronic tone for about 5 seconds instead of an actual bell

  • I have one of these!
