All of our repairs are made with Epoxy hands down. Its is much more friendly to work with. It is expensive though. Epoxy is also much stonger. It is the law and you must do what I say or else you boat will sink. Sorry :(

Its just a example. He is not really do a Job. West systems is really good stuff though. Alot better than polyester.

Folks here is another reason not to use epoxy on polyester fiberglass boats. While epoxy will adhere to polyester based resin, the reverse is not true. Gelcoat is a polyester based resin with pigment added. It will not adhere properly to an epoxy based repair. So, keep your repairs based on what the boat is made of. It's that simple.

LOOKS LIKE A NICE JOB THOUGH?
This is part of a series of videos from WEST System. So, not everything is in this video. We had to break them up to fit on Youtube.

This is a good example of how folks trying to sell as much product as possible repair things. I mean why not just cut the whole side of the boat off??? I've been repairing fiberglass for over 20 years, and that repair didn't need 1/4 the work this guy makes of it.

That's great that you have a method that works for you. Everyone has their own way of doing things. The video was made by WEST System, so naturally they demonstrate techniques using their products.
