Yes, the Yankees got the best of the Mets in 2000. But you know what? Times have changed. The Mets have been getting better, and the Yankees have gotten worse. The Yankees, need to overhaul their team, and to bring in some really good Young talent, in order to contend for a trip to the World Series.

A-Rod hit a Home Run last night. Whoopee, his 2-Run Home Run were the only Yankee Runs that night. Time to be waking up the Slumber Lumber.

@joeyisbetterthanmatt Well as you know, there is Football now as both the Players and Owners now come to a 10 year agreement. But Basketball, is far more complex. The Owners are now wanting a share of what the Players are making in their own spare time. Are you kidding me?! The Owners are demanding 57% of the Players income off the court.

If a Player is NOT wearing that is sporting his Team's name or logo, he is entitled to keep any amount of income that he makes off the court.

Hopefully we wont have this terrible God awful lock out that the NBA and NFL had to blow up. I think they could've came to an agreement the first month of the lockout

@joeyisbetterthanmatt That's O.K., I really don't think about the Marlins or the Nationals. Let's not forget where the the Nationals came from. The more things change, the more they stay the same for Washington, and as for the Marlins, no one where knows where that teams is really going. The Mets however, have been in dying need of some Pitching. I don't know how many times I needed to stress that, but no one seems to listen. They always had the Big Bats, but never the Arms to compete.

@Jiltedin2007 Don't Worry, its only a matter of time for the Phils to totally blow it up and become a 4th or 3rd place team. The Braves, yes will most likely be the 1st place spot in for the next 5 years. The Nats, they might be good in years to come, but no time soon. Marlins, are not consistent, whether they win, or lose. thats why there either right under .500 right above it or even .500. and The Mets, will pick some Free Agents up, and Most likely be Wild Card Contenders.

@joeyisbetterthanmatt Yes times have changes, and the tables have been turned. It is now the Yankees who are contending for October Baseball for 2011. And the Mets, are in dying need of a Transfusion. Now with Carlos Beltran gone, and Jose Reyes "Up in the air" with his status, the Mets have to do something because the Braves have some very good Young Talent, and the Phillies are just going to be way too good for years to come. Mets need to do something quick!

@Jiltedin2007 haha that changed didnt it? i agree with u, im a die hard yanks fan, 3 years ago the mets were on the peek of a championship, the yankees were finding themselves stuck in 2 games behind defending them selves in the ALDS. But now. the Yankees are doing great and the Mets are on and off
