Actually, I'm going to write a letter to Time-Warner asking if they have released the so-called incidental music from these classic H-B series. (Among other subjects.)
The score on this is MAGNIFICENT. You could actually take the various versions of the theme and -- if one had the talent -- combine them into a superb orchestrial piece.
Can you imagine going to a concert hearing this? And saving the TITLE until AFTER it had been played? I wonder how many people would even know who Mightor is?

@abaneyone Thats interesting. A lot of music in JQ was stock used in other shows. anything from Space Ghost to the Flintstones(usually in 'scary' comedy scenes ,tho'). Does the JQ music come with backround info that points this out? Does it bring up other details about the show or the music itself or about Ted Nichols?

The main hook in the Mightor theme reminds me of God of War ! :D

Mighter Mitre! Empowered with the Bishop's cap....

I think thisvmight be the theme sequence for the second season. I just received the complete series from WarnerArchive today and while all 18 eps have the same opening title, the final six or so have ending credits with scenes from the intro shown here. I'm assuming Warner has just slapped the same opening titles on all the eps like they do with so many of the old HB product.

@midknightryder13 I'd know it was Mightor. All the scores from these H-B adventure science fiction cartoons were great! So have you been able to get any of the music? I have all of the original Jonny Quest music,

i believe hanna-barbera used orchestral music as a way to dramatize music in cartoons...most cartoons nowadays use an electronic score instead of real instruments....I know the japanese anime shows use a lot of orchestral stuff.

Composed and conducted originally by Hanna-Barbera's musical genious, Ted Nichols, who also created Shazzan / The Herculoids theme songs, the classic Scooby-Doo Where Are You! background music, and countless more. Created & designed by Alex Toth. Violence in cartoons... battles, awesome creatures, brave & fearless superheroes... and a love story too, remember Tor was in love with Sheera? who, of course, was to damn hot, sexi and blind to notice he was Mightor :P
TED NICHOLS & ALEX TOTH RULE!

1968....What?..I loved this then!

I love Mightor's voice."Quick little Rock".This and the Herculoids were my fav's from back then.
To clear up the different openings. There were 36 Mightor episodes. The first 18 episodes didn't have Don Messick voice-over but the second 18 episodes did.
